  3. Quite right, Nelson - in fact a friend of mine made exactly the same point when I published the list.

    It's certainly fair to say that the Nordic countries were a well-used source of players back then. Before clubs started spending silly money like they do now, I think players from countries like Sweden and Norway were looked upon as being very good value for money.
