  1. The Hearts support still have an annual remembrance service in Edinburgh and after managing crowds of about 800 last year, we hope to have even more this Sunday.

Great blog and great post. :)

  2. Yes indeed, friend. In researching the Friday List for this week, I became aware of the huge sacrifice made by some of the Hearts players during the First World War and the memorial which acts as the focal point of the rememberance service held in that part of Edinburgh every year.

I'm sure I speak for many when I say that their unselfish acts will be remembered by many this Sunday and for a long, long time to come.

Thanks for telling us about the rememberance service, Hearts FC News. If any SPAOTP followers are in the area on Sunday, please go along and pay your respects to those gallant men who gave their lives, if you can.

  3. The more the merrier, as they say...there are often many official and unofficial representatives from other clubs in attendance. This year is slightly different as we really need the numbers. We're currently trying to prevent the council & TIE from moving the memorial to a side street in order to accommodate a tram system, would you believe....

As you mentioned having an interest, I hope you don't mind me posting these links...and if you feel like signing the petition, please go ahead! :)
